Recording Rides

HD App includes a feature that allows members to record the route a rider took on their connected HD motorcycle.  Miles ridden while recording a ride count towards HD App Digital Challenges.  Recorded rides can also be accessed later in the event you want to re-ride the route.

Record a ride using HD App:

1. From any screen, Select Ride from the options at the bottom of the app
2. Ride map opens
3. Select Record Ride
4. If you have more than 1 bike saved to your profile, Select the Change Bike button to select the bike for this ride
5. If you are on a rented bike, Select the the Change Bike button and choose I'm On a Rental Bike
6. Select Continue
7. Jump on the bike and RIDE
8. At a stop, open the HD App and select Pause
9. If your ride is over Select Finish Ride.  Otherwise, select Resume when you are ready to hit the road again

Automatically record rides on HD App (only available on touring models):

1. From the Home Screen, select your Profile (top left picture)
2. On the Profile page, select Options (top right gear)
3. Select Connected Features
4. Set Vehicle Integration Services to On
5. Set Enable Auto Record Ride to On
   • Requires your device to allow the HD App to always allow Location Services.  This is typically set in your device Location settings.  Steps to do this may be different by device
6. Next time you ride your bike and your phone is connected, the ride should automatically record even if the HD App is not currently running
